Time flows at a different rate at Zumwalt Campground and pedestrians are abundant are everywhere. It is NOT the place to be in a hurry; leave that at home. There are children of all ages running free and the risk of injury or worse is too high to operate motor vehicles at speeds faster than 5 mph. When we arrive on Thursday afternoon, the temptation is to race to your campsite after getting banded. Don’t. That’s exactly the time when you should slowing down to ZCG standard time, for your own enjoyment and for the safety of all those dancing bears around you.
don't piss off the fuzz
Law enforcement are out in force on Fair weekend and will be quick to make a traffic stop if they see something unsafe or illegal. Here’s some ideas on how to avoid that bummer encounter with the Fuzz:
- Don't drive while intoxicated
- Don't drink/smoke marijuana on a public street
- Be polite to officers; have a valid drivers license, registration, and insurance card
- Make sure your vehicle's running and brake lights work
- Obey the speed limit on the street and in Zumwalt Campground
- Don't drive erratically
- Keep all body parts in the vehicle
- Don't throw litter out of your vehicle; secure your load.
