what is this mystical place called Zumwalt Park?
The volunteer stewards of Zumwalt Park spend their own time, money, and equipment in keeping the property in magnificent shape. Over the winter, storms knock limbs out of the trees. In the spring, the grass grows to waist height. Before campers can come for Fair, the woody debris must be removed an the grass mowed. In addition, the volunteers do restoration work including invasive plant abatement. Were it not for Friends of Zumwalt Park, there would be no Zumwalt Campground.
